Bio:
Kate has always called Oregon home (both the small town of Yamhill as well as NE Portland) despite living on both coasts and abroad for many years. Kate is a passionate advocate for kids, educators, and transforming our educational system into what kids, families, and educators deserve. Kate is thrilled to be moving back into one school community in service to students and the educators that work magic and transform lives everyday. As a parent of two teens who have been shaped by the power of Catholic education (the amazing mix of deep care, rigor, and development of the whole person), Kate appreciates Central Catholic's approach to learning and looks forward to deepening its commitment to equity, inclusion, and excellence. A lifelong learner, Kate is always reading six or seven books at a time, engaging new perspectives, and seeking growth while finding a way to run and move every chance she gets.
