Bio:
I was born and raised in Portland, OR and attended St. Clare School (K-8) where I still belong as a parishioner. After graduating from Jesuit High School, I moved to Connecticut to play DI volleyball at Fairfield University. After my freshman year, I decided that I wanted to be at a school with a successful teaching program that was closer to home. I transferred to Carroll College in Helena, MT where I earned a BA in Health, Physical Education, and Psychology. At Carroll, I played volleyball, led retreats, and was an active member of the community. In 2011, I returned home to Portland to complete my student teaching at Central Catholic. Now as a licensed teacher, I am thrilled and honored to be able to continue my career here.

In the classroom, I believe that students learn best when they are actively engaged in their own learning and can clearly see the relevancy between the topic and their own lives. As a volleyball coach, I believe that hard work, dedication, and perseverance on the court will shape a strong character to help students succeed in the classroom and in their community. When I am not in the classroom or in the gym, I enjoy dedicating my time to being a member of the Campus Ministry Team and adviser to the SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) Club.

Fun Facts: I enjoy baking, cooking, exercising, outdoor activities, and spending quality time with friends and family (especially my little sister). My favorite color is turquoise or any blue/green combination, I love dark chocolate, and my kitten, Emy, is the most adorable cat to ever walk this earth!
