Students attend Latinx Youth Conference
Over the weekend, Director of Diversity David Blue took nearly a dozen of our students on an inspirational and empowering trip to the Latinx Youth Conference at Bellarmine Prep in San Jose.

The purpose of the conference was to empower Latinx high school students and educators by providing a safe space for leadership development, identity exploration, appreciation of various forms of Latino cultural expressions, and networking.

Mr. Blue says one of the highlights of the trip was hearing from Dr. Francisco Jimenez who talked about his journey from migrant farm worker, to marching with Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta, to noted author and professor.

Students also had the opportunity to participate in workshops on LatinX entrepreneurship, justice and spiritual development, hip-hop and social justice, and systemic racism in education.
