Students Attend Asian American Summit

A dozen Central Catholic students made the trip north to take part in the 2017 Asian American Summit hosted by Seattle Prep High School. During the summit, students had the opportunity to listen to guess speakers, enjoyed entertainment by Nash Fung, a magician and mind reader, and had the opportunity to share their own gifts at a talent show! During the weekend event, students met in small groups to discuss shared educational experiences, model-minority myths, and be challenged to dialogue about the topics of diversity, inclusion, and social justice.
