Darren graduated from David Douglas High School in 2003 and was a multi-sport letterman and team captain in both football and wrestling. After attaining the rank of Eagle Scout and playing in Oregon’s All-Star football game, Darren continued his football career as an offensive lineman at Portland State University. As a four-year letterman for the Vikings, he received both a Bachelor’s of Science in Real Estate Finance as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. Upon finishing both degrees in 2007, Darren joined the football coaching staff at David Douglas as the Varsity Offensive Line Coach where he coached for the last 9 years prior to joining the Central Catholic family. Over the last five years, Darren has coached at the Varsity and JV level in different roles for the Rams. Along with coaching, Darren also works as a Construction Manager and owns businesses in Oregon City and Vancouver. Darren is passionate about helping and developing young men both on and off the field. Darren feels blessed by the support of his friends, former teammates, and family.
