Kayla Hambley

Head Coach

Kayla started with the Rams in 2011 as a coach on the JV level. She was a member of the 2004 volleyball state championship team at Jesuit High School. She was a four year varsity athlete in volleyball and track and earned all-league honors in both sports. Kayla played four years of collegiate volleyball at the Division 1 and NAIA levels starting at Fairfield University, CT and then transferring to Carroll College, MT.  In addition to coaching at Central Catholic, Kayla has coached at the 16’s and most recently 14’s level for Rose City Volleyball Club. Kayla is on the teaching staff at Central Catholic, teaching AP Psychology, Psychology, Wellness, Girl’s Strength & Fitness Development, and PE.  She is also an active member of the Campus Ministry team that plans, organizes, and leads the retreats for Central Catholic students.  In December of 2016, Kayla completed her Masters in Neuroeducation from the University of Portland.  She believes that in life, academics, and in sports, the process is far more important than the product. Kayla and her family enjoy outdoor activities like camping and hiking. At home they love gardening and spending time with their extended families.
