Malcolm has been a coach at Central Catholic since 1994. During his tenure he has served as Varsity Assistant and JV Coach. His prior stops were at Sunset HS (JV), Jefferson HS (V/JV Head Coach), and St. Mary's Academy (V/JV Head Coach) starting in 1977. He has been fortunate to be a part of nine (9) State Championships and 22 State Finals in Oregon. He has also coached Club Volleyball with Blues VBC, Portland VBC, and Rose City VBC starting in 1981.

Malcolm is a retired Physical Education teacher in the Portland Public Schools District. He now spends his time coaching, with family in Hawaii and living the life of leisure.
